Terms and conditions of sale

1. Purpose

These terms and conditions define the rights and obligations of the parties in the context of the remote booking of services offered by Clos du Cèdre, a brand operated by SARL LE CLOS DU CÈDRE, whose contact details appear on the booking confirmation document.

They govern all the steps necessary for the reservation and the follow-up of the reservation between the contracting parties.

The customer acknowledges having read and accepted these general terms and conditions of sale as well as the special terms and conditions of the rate booked, which are available on the closducedre.com website, which includes the MEWS booking engine.

2. Reservation

The customer selects the services offered on the closducedre.com website via the MEWS booking engine.

He acknowledges having obtained all necessary information and chosen the services in full knowledge of the facts.

The reservation becomes firm and definitive after validation and payment of the deposit according to the conditions specified below.

3. Booking process

Reservations are made online via the integrated MEWS engine.

The customer undertakes to provide accurate and complete information.

The procedure includes :

  • selection of services,
  • entering personal and bank details,
  • reading and acceptance of these terms and conditions,
  • final confirmation of the reservation.

Reservations are confirmed on receipt of the confirmation e-mail sent automatically by MEWS.

4. Acknowledgement of receipt

A confirmation e-mail is sent after payment validation.

It summarizes the services booked, prices, cancellation policy, contact details and booking date.

This e-mail is proof of receipt and contract.

5. Cancellation and change conditions

In accordance with article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the customer has no right of withdrawal.

The following conditions apply to all bookings made on closducedre.com:

  • Booking deposit: 30% of the total cost of the stay, cashed on booking, non-refundable.
  • Cancellation less than 7 days before arrival: 100% of the total amount is due.
  • No-show: 100% of the total cost of the stay will be charged.

All requests for cancellation or modification must be sent in writing to contact@closducedre.com.

Reservations are personal and cannot be transferred to a third party.

6. Consumption of service

Identification may be required on arrival.

Any behavior contrary to morality or public order will result in immediate expulsion without compensation or reimbursement.

Customers agree to abide by the rules and regulations posted on the premises.

7. Liability

The photos and texts on the closducedre.com website are provided for information only.

The establishment cannot be held responsible for non-fulfilment of the reservation in the event of force majeure, customer error or technical failure beyond its control (Internet, banking network, etc.).

8. Claims

Any complaint concerning the performance of the services must be sent in writing within eight days of the end of the stay, to the address :

9. Awards

Prices are given in euros and include VAT applicable on the day of booking.

The tourist tax, set by the commune of Dinan, is not included and must be paid on site.

Any change in the VAT rate or the introduction of new taxes will automatically be reflected in the prices indicated at the time of invoicing.

10. Payment

  • A 30% non-refundable deposit is required on booking via the secure MEWS platform integrated into closducedre.com.
  • The balance of 70% is payable on arrival, unless otherwise specified in the rate booked.
  • Payments are made by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, etc.) via the secure MEWS Payments system.

In the event of late cancellation or no-show, the establishment will automatically debit the amount due in accordance with the above conditions.

11. Personal data

The information collected at the time of reservation is necessary for the management of the stay and the administrative follow-up.

It is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy available on closducedre.com.

Data may be transmitted to MEWS and its service providers for technical management and payment processing.

Customers have the right to access, rectify and delete their data(contact@closducedre.com).

12. Evidence agreement

The entry of bank details and validation of these GTC constitute proof of commitment between the parties, with the same value as a handwritten signature.

13. Force majeure

Neither party may be held responsible for the total or partial non-performance of its obligations in the event of force majeure, as defined by French case law.

14. Applicable law and disputes

The present conditions are governed by French law.

In the event of a dispute, and after an attempt at amicable resolution, the customer may refer the matter to the Tourism and Travel Ombudsman (MTV) or any other competent authority in accordance with the regulations in force.

15. Complete

The present General Terms and Conditions of Sale, the specific conditions of the fare booked and the booking confirmation constitute the entire agreement between the parties.

Any update published on closducedre.com or on the MEWS engine replaces previous versions and applies to any reservation made after its publication.
